Australian KPMG expects growth in online casino

An international report into online pokies and casinos has recently been published by KPMG, one of the world’s primary professional services network.  It has a presence in 140 countries and within Australia operates 13 offices employing around 4,800 people.
The report shows that many countries, including Australia, are starting to rethink their position on internet gambling.
A large amount of money is spent in Australia on offshore online gambling sites, showing that Aussies enjoy slots and online casinos.
However, with a new Prime Minister who seems to be completely against regulating and legalizing online casinos in the country, the road ahead is likely to be a very long one.
The Australian Ministry for Broadband, Communications and Digital Economy has also given the issue a low priority.
However, KPMG’s Australian partner in charge of the Australian gaming industry expects further growth in the industry as technology continues to advance and games become easier and more exciting to play.
The Government now has the KPMG report , but it may be a long time before we see any relaxation of the rules governing online gambling.
