Here's something you won't
find happening at an online casino (even though you punters out there wish that
it could)... The Melbourne Crown Casino has discovered that its tables have
been hit with a huge influx of fake $1000 chips. The value of the chips is
thought to be at least $13 million!
The discovery was made by
a staff member at the casino when she was holding a fake in the counting room.
The $1000 chips were all recalled and Crown had to change the colour of the
chips to a different blue.
Crown casino conceded that they had no idea how long the fraud had been going on for or exactly how much money had been lost in the counterfeit operation.
Still, if there's one person that can probably afford to lose a little money its James Packer!
